1. Mission statement and corporate principles

The primary goal of TGM Kanis Turbinen GmbH is to be active worldwide as a manufacturer and service provider of high-quality steam turbines, steam turbosets and auxiliary systems for power generation or as mechanical drives. Our endeavor to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction through first-class quality of our products and technologies, as well as qualified employees, effective and safe processes is a key success factor to us. Improvement of our quality management as well as the development and on-going development of our products and services is important to us. In addition, we attach great importance to the preservation of the environment, as well as environmentally friendly processes, continuous improvement of our environmental performance and the best possible occupational health and safety protection for all our employees.

Our corporate culture is defined by quality-conscious, competent, efficient and flexible actions with short decision-making paths, trusting cooperation, integrity, a sense of responsibility, commitment and respect.

 

2. Quality principles

Customer focus

Our customers set the benchmark for the quality of our products and services. Exceeding customer expectations, where ever possible, is the aim of all employees of our company. 
As a prerequisite for this, we systematically determine the customer requirements and ensure that these are constantly updated and made available for all employees involved in the process. We keep close contact to our customers and thus ensure fast response to their needs. Tool-based and structured project management helps us to accompany projects in a targeted and customer-oriented
manner.

Quality responsibility

Our quality claim relates to

  • our products and processes,

  • the qualification of our employees,

  • dealing with our interested parties.

Therefore promoting quality and responsibility at TGM Kanis is a management task. The management ensures that the quality policy of the company is understood by all employees and initiates the necessary measures for implementation, observing and evaluating opportunities and risks.

 

To meet our quality standards:

  • we ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements,

  • we promote the further education and competence development of our employees through suitable qualification measures

  • we ensure a consistently high level of quality through standardized processes, preventive measures, consistent quality planning, risk and error management as well as sound quality assurance

  • the technologies and processes used by us are continuously and sustainably improved

  • we promote the implementation of this policy through regular audits, identifying and implementing ways and means of improvement

  • we regularly take into account the results of our context analysis when determining the strategic approach.

  • we set ourselves ambitious goals and review and improve our processes through measurable targets.

3. Responsibility in the area of occupational safety, health and environmental protection

Maintaining a safe, health-promoting, and environmental-friendly working environment for all workers in the office, workshop, and construction site, as well as protecting workers, users, and residents of our facilities is the top priority when designing our manufacturing processes.

The implementation is based on

 

  • compliance with binding obligations, company and statutory regulations,

  • the obligation of every employee to actively participate in occupational safety and environmental protection and always behave in a safe and health- and environmentally conscious manner, ongoing qualification and instruction measures for all employees,

  • the regular assessment of working conditions, the evaluation of potential hazards and the resulting preventive measures to minimize hazards,

  • the regular assessment of our environmental aspects, impacts and performances as part of the context analysis,

  • measures to prevent undesirable environmental and material damage, accidents, occupational diseases and work-related health hazards,

  • the immediate remediation of identified deficiencies in work equipment and work procedures by taking appropriate measures,

  • regular audits, expert committee meetings as well as the management review to review the implementation of this policy and set goals and identify improvement measures for the HSE management system.

4. Responsibility towards our interested parties

In order to meet the high demands of our interested parties, we take into account their expectations in our quality planning and operational implementation as well as our environmental measures.
Where appropriate, our IM system will be made available to all interested parties.

5. Responsibility of the executive managment and of employees

The executive management of TGM Kanis Turbinen GmbH is committed to provide all necessary resources in order to meet the requirements as well as the continuous improvement of our IM system. By considering opportunities and risks, the management determines the goals regarding  the strategic orientation of TGM Kanis Turbinen GmbH and the intended results of the IM system and is at the same time evaluating their implementation and effectiveness at regular intervals.

The company policy is binding for the management and for all employees, since on one hand the quality of the joint work generates an important contribution towards increasing the economic efficiency and thus preserving the jobs and, on the other hand, the continuous improvement of our joint environmental performance gives an important contribution to a sustainable and environmentally friendly business.

TGM Kanis treats all incoming information confidentially and does not tolerate any reprisals against whistleblowers who report possible violations in good faith and responsibly.
